致本行存款戶：因應主管機關之要求，本行謹將本行存款帳戶總約定書有關起息點/額說明未盡部分，明訂如下：
To comply the ruling from the competent authority, we update the provisions regarding the calculation of interest in our General Agreement Governing Accounts with The Bnak of East Asia, Limited, as the following,

A. 一般條款 General Terms、 第5條 Article 5, 利息 Interest

原約款：

存款之利率應依銀行之牌告利率及計息方式計算之。
Any interest rate applicable to each Deposit shall be calculate at the rate posted and in accordance with the method adopted by the Bank and then be credited to the Account.

修訂約款：

存款之利率應依銀行之牌告利率及計息方式計算之。新台幣存款以百元為單位計付利息，未滿百元部分將不計付利息。
Any interest rate applicable to each Deposit shall be calculate at the rate posted and in accordance with the method adopted by the Bank and then be credited to the Account. The interest for deposit shall accrue based on each hundred dollar as a unit; for the portion less than each one hundred dollar, no interest shall accrue thereon.

B. 外匯存款帳戶特別條款 Additional Terms for Foreign Currency Deposit、 第1條 Article 1

原約款：

如以新台幣資金兌換為外匯存款者，以兌換日後之第二個營業日為其生效日及利息起息日，如資金來源為其他外幣者，以兌換日為利息起算日。
If the funds for foreign currency Deposits are converted from New Taiwan Dollars, the Deposit and interest on the Deposit will accrue from the date of the second succeeding Business Day; if the funds for Deposits are converted from any other foreign currency, interest on the Deposit will accrue from the same day of the conversion.

修訂約款：

如以新台幣資金兌換為外匯存款者，以兌換日後之第二個營業日為其生效日及利息起息日，如資金來源為其他外幣者，以兌換日為利息起算日。外幣存款未達該外幣100元者，將不計付利息。
If the funds for foreign currency Deposits are converted from New Taiwan Dollars, the Deposit and interest on the Deposit will accrue from the date of the second succeeding Business Day; if the funds for Deposits are converted from any other foreign currency, interest on the Deposit will accrue from the same day of the conversion. For any foreign currency deposit less than one hundred dollar, no interest shall accrue thereon.
